Meet Dr. Jacqueline Ford

CEO/Owner

Dr. Ford earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis on Juvenile Corrections and Family Counseling at Holy Names College, Oakland, CA. She went on to obtain three master’s degrees: Counseling Psychology at Cambridge University, Hawaii; Christian Leadership Development at Koinonia College, San Diego; and Psychology at Walden University. In 2015, She completed her doctoral research and dissertation on the "Challenge of Child Trauma on Adoptive Families' Social and Emotional System" (Proquest publisher) which lead to her obtaining her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University. Dr. Ford  co-authored "Identifying, Treating, an Preventing Childhood Trauma in Rural Communities (IGI publisher). She also published the chapter "When the System Fails" in the co-authored book. Dr. Ford has been conducting psychological, psychoeducational,  autism, foster/adoption, trauma focused for over 10 years. Dr. Ford has also been trained in evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups. She has over 15 years’ experience conducting individual, group and couples counseling. 

On 9/9/21, Dr. Ford became the CEO/Owner of Renewed Journey Psychological Services, LLC. Prior to that date, she was the co-owner of this practice. Her goal is to leave a legacy honoring those who encouraged her on this journey to create wholeness, one person at a time. She honors her parents, the late Elder James K Ford Sr., and Amie Chipman Ford, along with her beloved mentor, the late Dr. Marion A. Baker.
